Did you know that there are different kinds of traditional epiphany cakes called “Galettes des Rois” according to the regions of France, even if they all have in common a bean and a crown?

The traditional “Galettes des Rois” is composed of puff pastry stuffed with frangipane cream, a recipe that Bienvenue à Paris offered you to discover last year.

In the South of France, one serves the “Gâteau des Rois” which consists of a brioche with candied fruits, in the shape of a crown, perfumed with orange blossom. A recipe that our favorite cook Laurence offers us to learn to realize all together.

We will then have the pleasure to taste these “Gâteau des Rois”, accompanied by other small sweets, during the first cocktail of 2017 organised by Bienvenue à Paris  !
